This strap does not slip at all and for me that’s perfect. Without this strap, I would experience neck dive. The leather is thick and supple, and I love the colors. The cream is awesome.
I bought one strap and loved it. Bought two more!
The craftsmanship is amazing, they are durable and look so good!
Great strap. !! I have 8 assorted colors for different color combo’s. Used a leather hole punch to enlarge end holes to accommodate schaller straplocks.
Love my Italia guitar straps! I have four: quality built, very comfortable, and very stylish! The best there is!
These have recently become my go-to straps. I like that they offer a suede back because I prefer a more grippy feel over a more slippery material. I usually snag a few when they put them on sale - I have 4 already and have my eye on a few more. On my last order, I even made a special request (for slightly longer tails) and they were very accommodating which was super nice of them. The 54" max length on the "long" version is okay for most of my guitars but with my Les Pauls but I prefer straps that are closer to 56" long. These straps are very well made, have great color choices, and they seem like they will last forever. They smell great too! They are fairly thick so trying to install Grover (older Schaller style) strap locks can be a bit tricky - it really helps if you can somehow pre-squish the leather around the holes. My main method is installing a super thin washer with the strap locks first then after a few minutes I'll swap that out with the washer that originally comes with the strap locks. Or, I've even just omitted a washer and just used the hex nut for a few minutes, then added the washer.
Purchased two straps - different colors. Extremely well constructed leather products. Coloring looks great on each. New leather smell that adds to the enjoyment of using. Very comfortable across the shoulder. Straps are much thicker than most on the market which adds to the comfort, but can be a challenge to attach on the endpins. No room left to add a rubber lock washer, but seems to be firmly attached once wrestled onto the pin. So much better than any other strap I've tried.
I bought it as a gift for a friend again.
This leather strap has very good quarity and good looking. I love this brand products.
Giving a red gift for the "Kanreki" (60th birthday) celebration is meant to wish the recipient an uneventful and healthy life.
We will reunion the band and play some music with my friends I hope.
I hope he will use it for a long time to come. It means enjoying music with happy long life.
This time I bought it as a gift for a friend.
In Japan, when a person turns 60 years old, he or she celebrates the "kanreki" (60th birthday). The color "red" is used for the kanreki celebration. Red is said to ward off bad luck and evil spirits, and red was used for maternity clothes in the olden days. Giving a red gift for the kanreki celebration is meant to wish the recipient an uneventful and healthy life.
I searched and searched, but I couldn't find anything more suitable for my guitar-loving friend's kanreki (60th birthday) celebration. I hope he will use it for a long time to come.
I bought the Standard Model, thinking that it would be a standard length. I hadn't thought about guitar strap length in years--just always bought a normal strap. Whoops! These straps are short! With it at the very longest possible setting, my guitar is still slightly above where I would have it in a seated position.
This is unfortunate. Check your strap lengths before ordering.
Wearing this strap is a joy they’re soft, comfortable and adjustable. I own 5 of these, different colors to match different finishes. They also store easily in most cases. The sales are great, you can spend more you can get fancier but they’re not any better.
Never have I ever had a bad experience with italia straps
Even a 5 Kilo (11lbs)-Bass can be played for more than 2 Hours without breaking your back... NICE
love leather straps
Everything is great about this strap. The softness\suppleness of the leather is fantastic. The only caveat I would mention to potential customers…and something I will absolutely consider the next time is that I will order the LONGER strap.
I am quite tall…but the standard length is quite close to being too short for me.
Next time, I am paying the extra amount and getting the longer strap.
Other than that caveat, the straps are fantastic.
Simply the best leather straps you will ever find.
Wish I had discovered these guys sooner
Top notch quality in every way…
If the smell of these straps when you open the package isn’t enough, you will like the quality of them, I promise.
My favorite strap! The quality is tops and very comfortable
I bought my first couple of Italia Straps in 2006 on e-bay. They have been my go to ever since. These truly are straps for life. Since (mostly) shifting from guitar to bass, I really appreciate how the 4" straps spread the weight on my shoulder and they tend to stay in place, although I don't have instruments with neck dive issues. I bought the strap featured in this review specifically for the Sterling (by MM) SUB Stingray 5HH pictured here. The Black and Cognac really looks good on it. The leather is so substantial and yet, incredibly supple. I generally use the 4" straps on my basses due to the weight, but I decided to use a 2.5" Rossa/Black strap for my Fender MIM 2021 75th Anniversary Player Jazz Bass and it works great on this somewhat lighter instrument. When I purchased my Washburn Force 4 ABT bass on e-bay in 2006, I bought a 4" Suede Italia Strap for it and they have been together ever since. I would definitely consider getting another suede strap if they were ever available again.
You will find these to be the best quality and easiest on your shoulders.
Extremely soft.
No regrets!

I have bought a few 4” Italia straps over the years and am very happy with them. Comfortable, durable and I like the look/the shape/how the leather is cut. :D
These straps are very comfortable and durable. I absolutely love them. I have 2, both on Hamer 12 strings. They look great. And what can I say they’re Italian!
I purchased my first Italiastrap about 4 years ago. Since then I have ordered a strap for every bass I use playing live. That’s 6 straps total. At this point I won’t use a different brand. When I buy a new instrument, I also buy a new Italiastrap!
